New for Sunday Lunch

Sunday lunch has always been a special event in our house. As far back as I can remember we sat down around a table as a family somewhere around lunchtime every Sunday. It was always a full roast meal with roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, or lamb with mint sauce roast pork with crackling or even chicken and stuffing.

It’s still traditional and still special but these days, going out for Sunday lunch with friends or family can be a really special occasion too and beats doing all the cooking and washing up for a special occasion or indeed for any occasion.

If you are feeling tempted to sample what’s out there in our area, take a look at our Sunday Lunch Guides which provide details all in one place for the many of the local pubs and eateries that offer Sunday lunch.

If you are looking for something new this year, we’ve discovered that private members club Mid Herts Golf Club has decided to throw open its doors to the public to offer splendid 2 or 3 course Carvery Sunday lunches on set dates twice per month. It’s a lovely setting for lunch with views over the clubs beautiful golf course, fully served starters and deserts with a good selection of Carvery meats and vegetables to choose from.
